Chapter: 7

Turning on her street, Latoya noticed Shon's car in her driveway. She instantly got butterflies in her stomach. Latoya was so hyped to see him; she couldn't wait to get in the house. She had grown so fond of him over the past month that she couldn't contain herself. Pulling up in the driveway behind Shon's car and cutting off her engine, Latoya looked in her mirror to make sure she was still on point before getting out of the car. She grabbed her phone and got out of the car. After making sure her doors were locked, she made her way to her front door. Unlocking the door, she walked into her home and locked the door behind her. She heard the TV on in the front room, so she figured that's where Shon might be. When Latoya walked in the living room, Shon was on the couch with his shirt off, looking good enough to eat. Latoya had to fan herself to keep from pouncing on him like a cheetah on a gazelle.

"What's up, handsome?" Latoya said, flopping down next to him.

"Not shit, ma, just been here chilling, waiting on you," Shon said, pulling Latoya on his lap.

"Is that right?" Latoya asked, kissing him on his neck.

"Yea, that's right; how was your day, though?"

"It was cool," Latoya said, not wanting him to know about how she talked to the lady at the nail shop. She didn't feel like hearing his mouth about her attitude.

"I don't believe that, but okay."

"Whatever I'm going to go to bed, I'm tired as hell," she told him, getting up from his lap

"Nigga, it's only 8 o'clock with your old ass," Shon joked.

"And that don't matter. I'm sleepy, so I'm going to bed. Oh, and you and Wiz are going to lunch with me and Whitney tomorrow," Latoya said to Shon, not really asking but telling him he was.

"How the hell you just gone tell me that me and my nigga gone have lunch with you and your friend?" Shon asked with his head cocked to the side.

"Just like I did. Now text Wiz and tell him what it is."

"Whatever, little girl, go ahead and take yo ass to bed because you tripping," Shon said, waving her off.

"Blah, blah, blah, get them thumbs moving," Latoya said before going up stairs.

Shon just shook his head. Latoya was really a trip. But he would do anything to make her happy, so he took out his phone and shot Wiz a message:

Me: what up kid

Wiz: I can't call it

Me: What you planned for tomorrow

Wiz: Not shit really what's up

Me: Man Toya want you and I to go lunch with her and one of her friend

Wiz: Bro what her friend looking like

Me: She a cutie

Wiz: alright man I'm down but if this bitch walks in looking like pumpkin head I'm out

Me: lol Come on now my dude I wouldn't slump you like that she A1

Wiz: Yea I hear you hit me tomorrow bro

Me: Bet.

Shon was happy Wiz agreed to go, because if he would've said no, Toya would have had a cow.
